Migrating from WordPress

Current status

There is an import tool that moves stories, images and URLs from an old WordPress site. However, the old site's address can't be entered from the dashboard today; you can't start the migration yourself.

Requesting a migration

Write your old site's address and your new publication address to destek@gastte.com. The support team will tell you in their reply how and when the migration will be done.

Including the following in your message speeds things up:

• The full address of the old site (e.g. https://eski-siteniz.com).
• The content types you want migrated (stories, pages, images).
• Whether you want old URLs redirected to the new ones.

What do you see in the dashboard?

The dashboard has a System Health › WordPress screen. As long as no source site is connected, the source address field on this screen stays empty and the import can't be started; this is not a fault. Once a migration is done, progress, conflicts and errors appear on the same screen.
